Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat already battled during the championship title before and it is not surprising that they are going to battle once more in the 2011 NBA Finals. The NBA Finals in 2006 was the first time that Dallas and Miami battled for the Finals and it was also the first of their appearance in the finals, as well as the second matchup of the teams from Florida and Texas.
During that time, Miami Heat won the championship series in six games over the Dallas Mavericks, winning the game at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, and becoming the third team to win a championship after trailing 0-2 in the series. Furthermore, the Heat Guard Dwayne Wade was named the Most Valuable Player of the series.
